Congratulations to junior Aidan Jones for taking third place in the 150 pound weight class of the D2 District tournament at Kenston HS. With the finish, Aidan earned the right to represent Revere at the state tournament in Columbus in a quest to become the school's next state placer. Great job Aidan and good luck in Columbus! |
A Jones Wins Sectional Title, Five others qualify to districts
Congratulations to the following six wrestlers who placed in the top four of their weight class on Saturday at the Northwest High School D2 Sectional wrestling tournament:
Mason Massouh, Lucca Bruno, Parker Jones, and Cole Gnap all placed fourth, Sal Bonacuse placed third, and Aidan Jones won the 150 pound sectional title.
These wrestlers will compete this Friday and Saturday at the district wrestling tournament at Kenston High School for a chance to qualify for the D2 state tournament. Be sure to congratulate them and wish them good luck!

revere loses another close one to hudson
2/14/24- The varsity wrestling team lost another close dual, this time to Hudson by a score of 32-36. The Minutemen won seven of eleven wrestled matches, but three forfeits proved to be the difference in the team score. Wins on the evening came from Mason Massouh, Rocco Bonacuse, Lucca Bruno, Sal Bonacuse, Mario Brienza, Aidan Jones, and Parker Jones.

minutemen come up short against padua
2/8/23- Last evening the varsity wrestling team lost a tough, competitive dual to the Bruins of Padua by a final score of 12-44. Wins on the evening came from Rocco Bonacuse, Aidan Jones, and Parker Jones.
revere falls to stow on forfeits
1/31/23- The varsity wrestlers took on the Stow Bulldogs in their final home dual meet of the season. The Minutemen won 7 of the 11 contested matches, but Revere forfeits in three weight classes proved to be the difference in the team score with the team losing 27-33. Victories came from Mason Massouh, Lucca Bruno, John Samartano, Mario Brienza, Aidan Jones, Parker Jones, and TJ Sunkin.
The team enjoys the weekend off before heading to Padua next Thursday for another dual meet. Good luck wrestlers.

Six minutemen earn top eight honors at sl tournament
1/27/24 - On Saturday the Minutemen wrestlers took that mats at Highland High School in the Suburban League Tournament with both American and National Conference Schools. The following wrestlers were able to finish in the top 8 of their weights:

Minutemen earn top d2 team honors at bill dies memorial
1/13/24- On Saturday the varsity wrestling team finished in 5th place out of 30 teams at the Bill Dies (pronounced "Dees") Memorial Wrestling tournament at Firestone High School and earned the division 2 team championship as the highest scoring division 2 team (picture attached). Lucca Bruno and Aidan Jones both finished in second place, Mason Massouh and Sal Bonacuse each earned third place, and John Samartano and Parker Jones both finished in 7th place. Great job team!

Revere goes 3-2 at jeff suglio memorial minutemen duals
1/6/24- On Saturday the varsity wrestling team hosted the annual Jeff Suglio Memorial Minutemen Duals. The team finished 3-2 on the day with wins over Boardman, St. Ignatius, and Barberton. Losses came to Cloverleaf and Marlington. Strong individual performances came from undefeated wrestlers John Samartano, Sal Bonacuse, and Colin Jocek, with Mason Massouh, Mario Brienza, Aidan Jones, and Parker Jones all going 4-1. Great job guys! The team travels to Firestone High School this Friday and Saturday for the Bill Dies Memorial Wrestling tournament... be sure to wish them luck!
Revere takes fourth at kenston Invite
12/29/23- Over the winter break, the varsity wrestling team competed in the Kenston Holiday Invitational, finishing in fourth place out of a total of 30 teams. Individual placewinners included Mason Massouh in third place at 106 pounds, Lucca Bruno in sixth place at 113 pounds, Sal Bonacuse in second place at 132 pounds, Mario Brienza in 5th place at 138 pounds, Aidan Jones in third place at 150 pounds, and Parker Jones in 8th place at 165 pounds. Great job wrestlers. The team will be back in action at home this weekend as they host the Jeff Suglio Memorial Minutemen Dual tournament. Wrestling starts at 9 AM and will continue throughout the day... stop in to see the team in action!

12/16/23- Congratulations to junior wrestlers Sal Bonacuse and Aidan Jones for both finishing in 5th place in their weight classes at the Solon Comet Classic. Mason Massouh, Parker Jones, and Colin Jocek all had strong showings as well, each narrowly missing placement by one match. Nice job boys! The team will travel to Fitch HS in Austintown this Friday for their first dual tournament of the season.
Four Minutemen PLACE at ncc to open 23-24 season
12/9/23- The Revere varsity wrestlers opened up the 23-24 season this past weekend with a strong showing at the North Coast Classic at Independence High School. Seven of eleven wrestlers qualified for the championship bracket after finishing in the top half of their pools. In the end, the team earned four top 8 placewinners. Mason Massouh placed 7th at 1-6 pounds, Sal Bonacuse 4th at 132 pounds, Aidan Jones 5th at 150 pounds, and Parker Jones 4th at 165 pounds. The team finished in 13th place out of 31 total teams. A great start to the season!
